Parade of Champions 2008

July 9, 2008 -
What a blast, we all had organizing our event "Parade of Champions" for Saturday July 5th, 2008 during the 22nd Annual Fourth of July Youth Celebration in Window Rock, AZ.

My First Thank You will be too my committee that assisted. Although our event was pushing for time, we all did a wonderful job and JOB WELL DONE!!! Our faith and strive was put to the test and our event was very successfull that came to past! Give yourself a big pad on the back. Thank You Committee!!!!

We had about 15 float entries as of Friday July 4, 2008 but as Saturday rolled up, we had additional entries find there way to the Office at the Fairgrounds or the morning of our event. Below you will find the top (3) winners for the parade this year. They are as followed:

1. Superior : Joseph Dedman for Apache County Sheriff
2. Outstanding : Navajo Nation Band
3. Good : Nizhoni Professional Homecare Inc.

In Addition, we would like to thank all the float entries and their participants for an outstanding parade and also a big thank you for supporting our youth, we definitely look forward to a bigger and better parade next year!

And last but not least, our thanks goes out to the Navajo Parks & Recreation Dept.-Special Events Section for trusting us and allowing us to organize this great event for our youth and above all our Great Navajo Nation. Thank You for communicating, respecting, and assisting your coordinators in each and everyway you could. A big THANK YOU PARKS & RECRES.
